Tax Revenues Fall In Western States
The housing market collapse was followed by loss of tax revenues in the western states of US. For example, personal income tax collections in Utah, decreased by 18.5% from last year. Sales tax collection also dropped in states like Nevada. The fall in tax revenue is expected to hit state budgets this year.
